If you are a Motorola defy user and want to update your device with Jellybean 4.1.2 firmware then follow our tutorial. This update comes with many interesting features like Google Now and other Google applications. This firmware is built on the Cyanogen Mod 10 firmware update.
Since, this is a custom ROM you must root your device so then you can apply this Jellybean 4.1.2 firmware update. In case if you are not sure about whether your device is rooted or not, just download the “Root Checker” app from the Google Play Store. If your device is rooted you are good to follow this procedure. If not then first root your device and then come here to update Jellybean firmware.

Procedure to update Motorola Defy with Jellybean 4.1.2 firmware:
2.Once you downloaded the files; connect your computer with the Motorola Defy by using original USB cable and copy the downloaded files in the smartphone.
3.Next Turn OFF your android phone and allow it to enter into the recovery mode. To enter into that you need to press and hold the Volume Down key. Next press the power key to turn ON the Motorola Defy smartphone.
4.Next, select the “install zip from SD card” > “Choose zip from SD card” option. Again select the Jellybean 4.1.2 firmware zip file and Google apps file which you have already placed in the SD card.
5.Then hit “OK” to install the firmware. Once the installation process is finished, select “Go Back” option and select “reboot your system now” option. So, then your device will reboot and start to work normally.
6.But for reboot it will take sometime, so wait patiently don’t disturb the process until the process is finish.
That’s it. Now, your Motorola Defy is updated with Jellybean 4.1.2 firmware. Enjoy all its features on your phone.
