How To Root Sony Xperia Z Smartphone

The Sony Xperia Z smartphone has several own apps and due to that it occupies more memory of the phone. If you want to clear up the memory by deleting unwanted apps and to want to get root access on your phone, you must root your phone. This tutorial explains how to root your phone with simple steps.


Pre requisites:

1.This rooting procedure will wipe your data. So, it is recommended to take a full backup of important data’s using appropriate backup applications. Plenty of apps are available in Google Play Store and Android Market to backup the data’s. So, download the one that is convenient for you and backup the data’s.

2.In addition to the SMS, MMS, Call register, Contacts, Images, Videos and Files you are recommended to note the APN and MMS settings also. Because, this too may get deleted once you root your phone. These settings are important while you are using so note down that.

3.Finally, check the battery percentage level of your phone and make sure it is not less than 75%. If it is low, it may get switched OFF during the middle of the process.

4.This procedure is working only on Windows computer.

Procedure to root Sony Xperia Z smartphone:

1.First install the Sony Xperia Z drivers from here.

2.Next download and install the fastboot drivers.

3.Next enable the USB Debugging option in your Sony Xperia Z smartphone, so then it can communicate with the computer.

4.Navigate to Settings > Security and Turn Unknown Sources ON.

5.Next again navigate to Settings>Display>Sleep and change the timeout to 10 minutes.

6.After that download the rooting script from here and save that to your desktop.

7.Once you have downloaded and saved the script on your desktop, extract the same and again save that in your desktop.


8.Next plug your phone using original USB cable.


9.After that open the extracted file and double click the .bat file inside and hit enter while in the command prompt for it to begin.
