If your Sony Xperia Sola smartphone was running on 6.1.1.B.1.54 firmware and want to root this device just follow this tutorial.

1.The given below procedure works only on the Sony Xperia Sola smartphone that is running on 6.1.1.B.1.54 firmware. So, don’t make a try if you have any other firmware version on your phone.

3.Kernel.zip (contains both MT27i_6.1.1.B.1.10_KERNEL.ftf and MT27_6.1.1.B.1.54_KERNEL.ftf). The link for this download is available on this post.
Procedure to flash the rootable older kernel:
1.First double-click on the flashtool file you have downloaded earlier and follow the on-screen instructions and install the same.
2.Next extract kernel.zip to a folder on your desktop. This must contain both the MT27i_6.1.1.B.1.10_KERNEL.ftf and MT27_6.1.1.B.1.54_KERNEL.ftf kernel files.
3.Then again copy MT27_6.1.1.B.1.54_KERNEL.ftf you downloaded above to C:\Flashtool\firmwares on your hard drive.
4.After the installation process, just open the flashtool app and click the flash icon (the one with the thunder symbol).
5.Now, you will see two options: Flashmode and Fastboot mode. In that select the Flashmode option.
6.Next choose MT27_6.1.1.B.1.54_KERNEL.ftf file and click the OK option.
7.Just follow the on-screen instructions on how to boot your phone into fastboot mode and connect your phone.
8.Next make sure the “No Final Verification” is marked and reboot the device ultimately.
Procedure to root Sony Xperia Sola:
1.Once your phone was rebooted, now its time to root your device.
2.To do that, first you need to enable the USB debugging option on your phone.
3.Once you have enabled that option connect your Sony Xperia Sola to the computer using USB cable.
4.Then extract the root_with_restore_by_bin4ry_v9_4.zip to a folder on your desktop.
5.Next from the extracted folder, double-click on the “RunMe.bat” to start the process.
6.Now type 1 in the window and tap the enter key.
7.Follow the on-screen instructions finally.
