1.This procedure is one and only for Xperia Neo/Neo V running on ICS 4.0.4 (4.0.3) with firmware version 4.1.B.0.431. So, don’t try in other versions.
2.Next take the full backup of your internal data with the help of backup applications.
3.Then charge your phone fully or up to 75%, so then it will never get switched off during the middle of the process, due to low battery.

Procedure to Root Xperia Neo V/Neo ICS 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.431):
Follow the given instructions carefully:
1.First, flash 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.431) ICS and boot your phone.
2.Next flash the kernel from 4.0.3 (4.1.A.0.562) ICS and boot your phone. Just flash the kernel alone, don’t try to wipe out anything.
3.After that download DooMLoRD’s rooting toolkit for Xperia 2011 ICS. Read the instructions and root your phone.
4.After that flash back the kernel from 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.431) ICS. Here also, flash only the kernel, don’t wipe anything.
